Minister of Music

Nancy Bullivant, BME, MCM

Church and music were significant influences in Nancy’s life growing up. So, following in her mother’s footsteps, Nancy studied to be a music teacher, and then, a church musician.

Nancy’s church music career began in earnest at James Street Baptist Church, Hamilton. In the 1990s, she and her spouse, Geoffrey worked together both at James Street Baptist and at First Baptist Church, Brantford. Before returning to First Baptist, Brantford in 2003, she served Grace United Church, Caledonia.

Nancy also enjoys being an accompanist. She currently accompanies The Dofasco Male Chorus.

Nancy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky.


Music at First Baptist has a long and rich history, and forms one of the central components of worship and congregational life. Our worship is enriched by music for choir, hand bells, piano and organ, and by the participation of the congregation in the singing of hymns and songs of praise.

There are two choirs at First Baptist: the Chancel Choir and the Hand-Bell Choir.
